CONCRETE INNOVATIONS AWARDS

The NRMCA Concrete Innovations Award recognizes outstanding achievement in concrete design and construction. Innovative projects that demonstrate outstanding achievements in performance while lowering environmental impacts including embodied and operational carbon footprint are awarded.

CONCRETE INNOVATION AWARDS CRITERIA

  • Eligibility: Building or infrastructure project, substantially designed and built using concrete in the United States in the last five years that demonstrates improved performance and sustainability. An NRMCA member company must have been involved in supplying products or services to the project. Any member of the design, build or product supplier team can submit a nomination.

  • Areas of Excellence: Concrete buildings or infrastructure projects that use advanced quality control, innovative cements, supplementary cementitious materials, admixtures, aggregates, recycling methods, carbon capture and sequestration technologies, measurement tools or innovative designs to improve performance and sustainability.

  • Judging Criteria: Demonstrate improvements in performance, including improved strength, durability, resilience, energy efficiency and sustainability, including embodied carbon reduction over typical projects of the same type. 

  • Deadline: January 31, 2025

Provide the primary contact for nominated project. This could be the same as Submitter.

Nomination Description
Provide a detailed description of the project or company you are nominating for a Concrete Innovations Award. Required: Describe which NRMCA member company was involved and what role they played in the project success. NRMCA member company can be a concrete supplier (producer member) or a company that supplies products or services to the ready mixed concrete industry (associate member).

Nomination Evidence
Provide evidence and justification for why the nominee deserves a Concrete Innovations Award. Review the judging criteria above. Provide evidence such as certifications, awards, recognition or measurements (test reports, EPDs, LCA, etc.) to demonstrate why the nominee deserves an Award. Required: Provide evidence that an NRMCA member company was involved and what role they played in nominee success. NRMCA member company can be a concrete supplier (producer member) or a company that supplies products or services to the ready mixed concrete industry (associate member)

Nomination Photos
Provide high resolution images (one minimum, twelve maximum) of the nominee (project), team members, products, or services that demonstrate the project is deserving of the Concrete Innovations Award. Include up to 12 images or files that can be used in presentations, print and online to recognize nominees.*
